The fireplace is often the cornerstone of the home. Serving as a place for gathering, the fireplace brings a special warmth to each holiday, family event, or any regular night at home with the kids. The fireplace can define the style of your home, whether it’s a modern and sleek design or a traditional stone walled one. We at Inspired Home+Life so look forward to cool fall and winter nights when we can light a big fire and warm up in the glow. Grab your favorite blanket, some hot cocoa and curl up in front of the fire!

The look of this living room is open, inviting and modern. The gray wall where the fireplace is really stands out! We love the couch with lots of warm blanket and cushions to snuggle up. The tall white candle on the fireplace hearth and the small basket of kindling wood add to the look while serving a purpose for setting a fire.
This modern living room has a minimalist, clean feel to it. The complete symmetry in the room makes the fireplace the focal point. We love the square inset on the wall above this gas fireplace and that the design does not include a mantel. We think the placement of the alphabet “fire” is unique and interesting but would also be great for other words like the family’s last name or the word “home”.
The black fireplace mixed with the pop of red oversize chair makes this room stunning. The mid century feel radiates through all four corners. We love the small gold and green topiaries on the mantel and the mounted TV above the fireplace. When choosing a gas fireplace, you have the option of choosing the fire glass and we love the clear glass used here.
The classic fireplace with large stones makes any living room space cozy and comfortable. Don’t you just want to snuggle up with a good book? We love the criss-crossed placement of the extra wood and the brass fireplace tools on the hearth. The rough hewn wood coffee table adds comfy look of the room.
The square, multi-colored tiles here make this fireplace contemporary and chic. We love the chair and foot rest to relax in front of the fire on a Sunday morning. The firebox on this fireplace is flush with the tile and the extra wide area of tile completes the modern look. We love that the design includes warm tones for the tiles; the browns, tans and slate blue of the tiles makes the area more inviting.
This look makes us feel like we’re in Colorado under the snowcapped mountains, or Vermont at the foot of the ski slopes. The height of this fireplace gives great depth the living room. The wood paneling on the ceiling along with the floor to ceiling stone wall and hearth make this fireplace feel comfortable and classic. We love the mantel with the beautiful oval clock and off-white candles. The oversize comfy chair and long leather couch make this living room feel so inviting.
If your style is modern, this is the fireplace for you! Completely stainless steel , the fireplace here is large and sleek for entertaining or a quiet night alone. The benefit of this built-in stainless steel fireplace is that it can be placed anywhere in your house. The walnut wood frame completes the look with a picture frame effect.
The rug, the fireplace, the exposed wood beams in the ceiling and the warm, tan sofa make this room look amazing. We love the open design of this brick fireplace along with the sleek stone hearth. This unique set up makes the room feel so much warmer and more open.
We love how this room has the added candles next to the fire for a personal touch! The stacked stone work and antiqued brass frame looks phenomenal! We love that the mantel and the built in shelving are stained in a deep cherry finish.
The fireplace here is another classic stone style but the large size really makes the fireplace pop! We love that the hearth is at floor level with just a few small four-by-four tiles. This room looks like a terrific place for some family time.
This is one of our favorite new looks for a contemporary home fireplace. The patterns on the wall make for a great backdrop. The gas fireplace is so clean and sleek, with the stainless steel log holder in use here for the gas firebricks. The light color wood with the unique paneling surround is a great contrast to the dark firebricks.
With a multi-tiered mantel this fireplace is cabin and woodlands ready! The functional and stylish stack stone look fabulous on this large fireplace. We love that fireplace is situated between two window which frame it perfect. We might add a few accessories to this fireplace, like a wood holder or dark rod iron fireplace tools set. The minimalist design here could use some flowers or candles on the mantel.
We love that way the fireplace here is one cohesive piece with the wood paneling on the sides. The hardwood floor and matching stained built in cabinets. With the framed photos on top, this fireplace is gorgeous!
The detail on this white fireplace is so beautiful. The ornate mantel and white brick firebox complete the look. We love the cream color palette which works perfectly for this room.
Contemporary, clean, chic and ready for a party, this fireplace is so dynamic! We love the rod iron fireplaces tools to complete the look. The white brick firebox is an easy upgrade to this special fireplace. We think the unique design without a hearth and mantel give the fireplace a more modern look.
The stark difference between the clean white mantel and the matte black fireplace is an eye catcher. The orchid placed next to the fireplace really softens it up in a nice way. We think the use of the stainless steel and charcoal bricks complete the design perfectly.
The classic dark wood fireplace looks great with a mirror above and two beautiful lights on each side. The tile hearth and fireplace surround is very unique but serves a great purpose and has a fantastic design. The dark cherry mantel completes the look.
The marble encrusted fireplace looks phenomenal with an outside wood paneling and a beautifully decorate mantel. We love the brass detailing on the fireplace screen as it adds a warmth to the overall look.
The all white fireplace here is fresh and earthy with a large white vase filled with bright white branches. A great look for any home. We loved to see more interesting accessories in the firebox like colored fire glass with a unique gas log configuration.
We like how the black and white looks especially with the flowers placed in front of the fireplace. The large white tiles surround a small gas fire box. The great thing about a fireplace like this is that you can close it up for summer and use candles or flowers in place of logs. The white lilies could be replaced in the spring by a bright bouquet of multicolored tulips and in the summer by huge blooms of blue or pink hydrangeas.
The fireplace here has an interesting placement that we really like! With different layers, this fireplace is adding tons of texture to the room. We love the travertine stone surround which can be used as an additional seating place in the room. We’d love to see a large glass vase on the edge to brighten up this earth toned space.
Although this room has a modern feel, the white fireplace along the grey wall feels cozy. The placement under the stairs is a brilliant way to use space that typically does not get used for anything. This design even includes a space to store the wood for your fire. We love that the fireplace is so close to the dining area as it looks like a lovely place to have a meal.
This fireplace here is decorated beautifully and really works with all the accessories of the living space. The rug, the vintage table and the vases on both sides complement the fireplace perfectly. We love the antiqued brass of the table and mirror which matches the brass log holders in the firebox. The ornate white mantel is an interesting curved design.
The corner fireplace is one of the coolest things we’ve seen here at Inspired Home+Life. With a very modern feel, the fireplace inside the white boxy walls is something you will be excited to see when you come home every night. We love that the space has a utilitarian purpose as well. It serves as a home for the family goldfish!
